However, the natural attribute of the Institute mentioned earlier determines that powder and coating need an organization related to policy decision-making, especially the national development and Reform Commission, The Ministry of industry and information technology and other ministries and commissions are platforms for exchange and communication on industrial policies.

Water based coatings have taken the lead, and high solid coatings and other coatings are also eager to try. Powder coatings and coatings, as green environmental protection coatings, are still not widely recognized and understood by the market, especially industrial policy makers. This fact is the fundamental reason why we decided to establish powder coating Association, In particular, China 2060's strategic goal of carbon neutralization is a rare opportunity for the development of powder coating, which must not be missed. In order to avoid misunderstanding, I temporarily requested to adjust it to be held in Taicang. The formal inaugural meeting of powder coating branch and the summit of emerging application scenarios of powder coating will be held in Shanghai, and the permanent address of the Secretariat of powder coating Association will also be set up in xihongqiao Development Zone of Shanghai Hongqiao hub.

I think that through the functional differences between the society and the association, we can see that they can complement each other. If enterprises are required to choose sides and turn what was originally beneficial to the industry into a non black or white position, it is the opposite. Luo Biao: I don't deserve it. The pattern and mind are too important. From the perspective of the industry itself, my personal opinion is that the coating professional committee of Changzhou Institute of chemical technology pays too much attention to the technology and formula of powder coating. So far, there is no coating application expert in the expert committee, which is the best proof, which is inseparable from the basic attributes of the Institute itself, I think this ignores a key driving factor of industrial technology development: value chain synergy. I often compare: raw material enterprises are like food materials, powder manufacturing enterprises are like chefs, coating equipment and pre-treatment are like cooking utensils. No matter how high-level chefs are, they can't make good new dishes and sell dishes. Therefore, the head enterprises of raw materials, powder manufacturing and powder coating can cooperate to develop new markets and new application fields with half the effort, which can greatly improve the rate of industrial innovation and explore new application fields. Through the close cooperation between tiger and kemitel pretreatment, Jinma, Holly's special light source and Xucheng coating equipment for more than half a year, this hypothesis has been fully verified and proved to be effective.

　　In addition, when we are still thinking about how to "paint to powder" or "oil to powder", this market is several times that of powder coatings, and the existing market is indeed full of imagination, but we ignore that many enterprises of pure liquid coatings are also preparing for self subversion, that is, investing in the production of powder coatings, It can not be ignored that the average scale and volume of these traditional liquid coating enterprises are much stronger than the existing powder coating enterprises! Moreover, customer resources and funds should be more substantial. The fact that some top 500 coating enterprises have increased their investment in China's powder coating field is the best proof: PPG, Ashtar and a large number of domestic enterprises are frequently investing in or expanding production of powder coatings.

At the same time, I have to point out that the industry has a mixture of good and bad. There are about 8000 powder coating manufacturing enterprises, less than 200 enterprises with an annual output value of more than 30 million, and there are about 7000 enterprises in the pretreatment field with only one tenth of the volume of powder coating. Enterprises including raw materials and coating equipment are also facing the same dilemma. In my opinion, the main reason is the lack of norms in the industry, Implementation of standards and mandatory laws and regulations.

It must be mentioned here that there is still much room to improve the standardization of powder coating manufacturing equipment. No matter how good raw materials and formulas are, it is difficult to make ideal products if the control of process links such as dispersion, extrusion, particle size control and binding is not accurate and stable. In addition, the digital level of powder manufacturing and coating is still very low, not to mention intelligent manufacturing. With our exploration and practical experience in the past three years, we have realized the industrial production and implementation of the two main processes of automatic batching, automatic color change and anhydrous cleaning. We are also willing to export our intelligent manufacturing solutions to the industry in the future to enable industrial upgrading.

Finally, it should also be mentioned that there has been no industry association, so we lack sufficient communication and interaction with downstream user associations, such as nonferrous metals / aluminum profiles, automobiles, furniture, MDF customized furniture, household appliances, general industry, ACE and other mainstream powder industries, so that the powder standards are not too embedded in the surface treatment and coating standards of these industries, It also indirectly resulted in the lack of voice and bargaining power of powder coatings relative to these downstream users.

In view of the above macroeconomic trends and the needs of the industry itself, it is imperative for raw materials, surface treatment / pretreatment, powder and coating head enterprises to establish industry associations. If it does not change, we will lose development opportunities again like a frog cooked in warm water.

Luo Biao: the specific actions and priorities will be discussed and decided by the member units after the establishment of the association. The association is a common platform for member enterprises and a fully autonomous organization.
