• Thin films difficult to obtain
Thin films (µ25 microns) are more difficult to obtain with powders than with wet paint systems. However, the overall economics of applying a somewhat thicker coating of powder could still prove favorable.
• Powders cannot be mixed
Powders cannot be mixed with one another to obtain different colors. However, this is not considered vital as most industrial coaters use paints or powders already matched to specific shades.
